U.S. Army Day Women-Owned Small Business Conference
I am honored to use my first post at the new USWCC Blog to thank Tracy Pinson, Director of the U.S. Army Office of Small Business Programs and Nancy Small, Women-Owned Small Business Program Manager for their incredible support of women-owned businesses.I also want to thank Congresswoman Velazquez for her continued support of all small businesses – she is included in this picture as one of the speakers for the event.

On March 20, 2007, we held our first featured agency day with the US Army Office of Small Business Programs. We had a sell out crowd at 350 and the feedback was incredible. We will continue to work with Ms. Pinson’s office to assist women-owned firms access contracts within the agency. Please respond, and let me know what you need next so that we can grow your business.
This event was the first day of the National Small Business Federal Contracting Week – a program presented by both the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce and the National Procurement Council. This event featured education, legislative update and meeting your Congress men and women, industry breakout segments that included one-on-one meetings with agencies and prime contractors. Look for our next National Small Business Federal Contracting Week to be held in August. Please let me know if you have any other needs – we rely on your feedback to provide you and your business with programs and advocacy that support the growth of your business. Again, we are 100% biased towards your success. We are here in service to the economic growth of the millions of women nationwide. Please let me know how I can assist.

I attended this conference - and wanted to say "thank you!" It was great to see that we are finally getting real support and real opportunities in federal contracting!
Women Business Owner from Ohio
Hi Ohio!
I attended also. This was my third contracting conference presented by the women's chamber. I keep coming back because I meet key influencers, get insights from successful business owners, and I have met teaming partners during the industry day sessions they have.
The Army conference was a nice addition to the conference.
Also - I went to the Congressional hearing that was called at the urging of the women's chamber to hold the federal government and the SBA accountable for enabling women to gain our share of contracts! I was really proud to be there and see that we really do have congressional leaders that will support our businesses!
Thanks again!
