Wider Opportunities for Women (WOW) is seeking a  Local Training Consultant.

WOW is a 40-year-old national nonprofit devoted to improving economic and educational opportunities for low-income women and girls. WOW focuses on preparing women and girls for high-skill, high-wage jobs; assisting low-income women gain skills for employment; and building the leadership of grassroots women and service providers in the policy process.

The Local Training Consultant will facilitate the implementation of WOW’s Connections to Careers curricula – which consists of a series of career exploration and financial literacy workshops in the DC area. The workshops are designed to acquaint participants with the actual costs of raising a family in the DC area, help women identify their strengths and expand their career horizons and improve lifelong economic security across generations by providing participants with the knowledge, tools and resources to develop a concrete a career plan that will provide economic security for themselves and their families.
