Outreach and organization. We are working now to bring together supporters, delegates, leaders and organizations who will work together to create real progress. Our leaders and organizations are speaking with researchers and experts to clearly define issues and solutions.
As local leaders and organizations step forward, we will work with them to organize for the formal November 15, 2006 launch. We will bring women together from across the U.S. with the facilitation of these local leaders and organizations.
>>>November 15, 2006
Formal launch of the USWCC National Congress for the Economic Advancement of Women.
9:30 am EST: Press conference at the National Press Club. Select research and organization partners to present findings and objectives. A published document will be provided for the media, congressional leaders, and all interested parties.
Noon EST: Regional Congress sessions using webinar and teleconference setup. We are working to secure local groups and leaders who will facilitate simultaneous meetings around the U.S. All participants will view the recording of the press conference and commit next steps nationally and in their region.
>>>Monthly
Local leaders will take over advancing local actions in accordance with our plan for progress. We will hold monthly webinar/teleconferences to report on progress and set-backs and to coordinate our actions. We will also hold meetings to advance the education of our delegates to the issues and solutions. Online community areas will debut to facilitate interaction and communication with National Congress delegates, leaders and supporters.
>>>Annually
The National Congress will formally meet in mid November each year to report on progress and setbacks, focus objectives, provide an annual report, and advise the media and the U.S. Congress on the true economic status of women.
